Look on the bright side

Both my mother and my grandmother taught me one thing above all: that focusing on what is good in our lives is a better approach than the opposite. I believe in being grateful and thankful for what we possess, for the luck that strikes us at times, even if rarely. I believe a positive mindset allows you to be obviously happier and, more practically, to face whatever obstacles that comes your way with more strength and resilience. There is also a good chance that you will learn much more from any difficult experience if you see it as a teachable moment whereas if your default setting is “gloom and doom”, it surely will be hell every time things don’t exactly go your way. The world can be two things : a source of random events that you try to deal with to the best of your abilities or a monster somehow focused on destroying this whole important and cursed you.
